Let’s take a second to imagine a fully engaged early childhood classroom. Kids are engaged in text, creating visual representations, and expressing their ideas. Some students are working in groups and others working individually. All students are engaged. They explore books of various genres, not only in the library or during reading times, but also related to science, math, and social studies instruction. In this environment, teachers and students work together to uncover answers to questions. Resources are used, and contextual evidence is cited. Materials in the classroom are adapted not only to help students with challenges interact with text, but also to serve as a motivator for reading. The classroom has signs, posters, word walls and the labels have both words and pictures. Language is connected. This sounds wonderful, right?

I think the kids have thoroughly enjoyed it. The students have been doing wonderfully well. The coordinators are really enjoying it. And the activities are, I would say, really up to the level of the class. This is something out of the box and they are doing it for the first time.Rashmi Ahuja, Headmistress, Daly College, Indore
In my 17-year career, in different schools, I haven’t had the opportunity to attend this kind of comprehensive and well-designed training. The teachers and I, have become more effective and efficient leaders. This is something out of the box and they are doing it for the first time.Dr. Kanta Rani, Former Principal, DeepJyoti School, Mumbai
It is a new kind of bond between her and us, her parents. Whether it is the daily news which keeps her updated on the latest happenings around the globe or the various activities which are always something new, it brings her imagination alive. She is more aware of herself now.Madhumita Bhattacharjee, Mother of Riddhitoma Bhattacharjee, Indus Valley World School, Kolkata
Reading is a foundation of life. An activity that people who are engaged with the world do all the time. When taught well, reading impacts the child’s imagination, logicalthinking, comprehension, writing and much more. Children who read have an unabashed sense of curiosity, a certain academic edge over their peers and an advanced understanding of the world. They empathise, imagine, score, think and express better too.
